Let go of confusion and pressure around food and health. Move toward your goals with clarity, confidence, and compassionate support.

The nutrition world is loud, confusing, and
not designed for fat people.
Nutrition advice is often conflicting and usually dripping with fatphobia. If you’re in a larger body, it can feel like every path leads back to shrinking yourself. I help you step outside that framework and build a clear, evidence-informed path toward health – one that respects your body and your autonomy.
I'm here to support folks like you.
You're looking for health support without weight-loss pressure as a larger person
The flood of messages about GLP-1's for weight loss makes you feel more confused than ever
You need a trustworthy partner to navigate conflicting nutrition advice
You want clear next steps instead of vague “just listen to your body” messaging
You care about your health but don’t want shame to be the motivator
You are searching for weight inclusive diabetes care

Hi! I'm Annie.
dietitian. fat person. fat liberationist.
I grew up believing that becoming thin was the key to health, happiness, and success. Even though I was a varsity athlete, getting good grades, and enjoying a strong group of friends... all while fat. Then, I found body liberation work that completely shifted how I understood health and worth. Now, as a registered dietitian, I help fat folks build definitions of health that are achievable, research-informed, and actually supportive of their lives – not rooted in shrinking.

Let's work together.

New Workshop!
The Fat Folks Guide to Prediabetes
Date & Time: Monday, June 22, 2026 from 7-9pm CT
Location: Virtually via ZoomFat people are often told that prediabetes is a warning siren: lose weight now, or diabetes is inevitable. Some people are even told they are “close to prediabetes,” as if their body is already failing before anything has happened. But risk is not destiny. Prediabetes is health information, not a moral verdict. You deserve evidence-based care that supports your actual life, not scare tactics. This session is designed to empower you with grounded, realistic information about prediabetes without fatphobia, fear-mongering, or demonizing diabetes. You’ll come away feeling calm and clear about your approach to prediabetes as a larger person, and ready for better conversations with your healthcare providers, too!

In this session we’ll cover:
Myths vs Reality about the causes of prediabetes and type 2 diabetes
How to understand your blood glucose labs and put them into context
The connection between weight and diabetes (it’s not what you’ve been told)
Whether eliminating sugar, pursuing weight loss, or taking a GLP-1 is required to prevent diabetes
The most effective options for supporting blood sugar health and reducing insulin resistance
Join us Monday, June 22 from 7-9pm CT via zoom to dive into this topic. This session will be recorded and available to registrants for 30 days following the live session.Presented by: Annie J, MPH, RD, LD
