The nutrition world is loud, confusing, and
Nutrition advice is often conflicting and usually dripping with fatphobia. If you’re in a larger body, it can feel like every path leads back to shrinking yourself. I help you step outside that framework and build a clear, evidence-informed path toward health – one that respects your body and your autonomy.

The flood of messages about GLP-1's for weight loss makes you feel more confused than ever
You need a trustworthy partner to navigate conflicting nutrition advice
You want clear next steps instead of vague “just listen to your body” messaging
You care about your health but don’t want shame to be the motivator
You are searching for weight inclusive diabetes care

Hi! I'm Annie.
dietitian. fat person. fat liberationist.
I grew up believing that becoming thin was the key to health, happiness, and success. Even though I was a varsity athlete, getting good grades, and enjoying a strong group of friends... all while fat. Then, I found body liberation work that completely shifted how I understood health and worth. Now, as a registered dietitian, I help fat folks build definitions of health that are achievable, research-informed, and actually supportive of their lives – not rooted in shrinking.

I offer private-pay virtual nutrition counseling for adults. Our work is collaborative, practical, and grounded in current research.
1:1 virtual sessions
Clear, actionable steps tailored to your life
Ongoing support and accountability
Focus on sustainable habits, not weight loss
We center your goals, not arbitrary numbers on a scale.
You don’t need another diet. You need guidance that respects your body and your intelligence. If you’re ready to move toward your health goals without shame or pressure, I’d be honored to work with you.

Let’s connect.

New Workshop!
Date & Time: Monday, March 30, 2026 from 7-9pm CT
Location: Virtually via ZoomAfter GLP-1s were approved as a weight loss medication, the healthcare landscape for people in larger bodies changed profoundly. Suddenly, messages about a ‘miracle’ drug for so-called ‘obesity’ were everywhere and the push to lose weight “for our health” at doctor’s visits reached a fever pitch.Unfortunately, fatphobia is driving the messages we see about GLP-1s for weight loss in social media, in the news, and even from sources that claim to be objective, including medical research and clinical guidelines. This session covers what the research on GLP-1s really says, from weight cycling to critical gaps in long-term data – and what those realities mean for your health and wellbeing.

This session aims to offer relief from the constant pressure to pursue weight loss, clarity in the midst of overwhelming and often biased messaging, and a grounded framework for making autonomous decisions about your body and health. We create space for critical thinking, helping you evaluate the research, understand the gaps, and discern what truly aligns with your values and wellbeing. You deserve information that supports your autonomy, not fear, coercion, or hype. This session is designed for the fat person who:
Feels exhausted by confusing messages about health and weight
Wonders if fat liberation is dead with the advent of these medications
Wants to feel empowered with information about what the research on GLP-1s for weight loss really says in the face of healthcare providers pushing these medications at every visit
Cares deeply about their health and is trying to understand how GLP-1s may truly impact it
Join us Monday, March 30 from 7-9pm CT via zoom to dive into this topic. This session will be recorded and available to registrants for 30 days following the live session.Presented by: Annie J, MPH, RD, LD
